- For 2026 Graduate Commencement, all candidates will enter the stage from the right side. Hoods should be draped over the candidate's right arm, with the point to the inside of their body and the white velvet near their hand.
- When entering the stage, candidates will present their hood to the hooding faculty member directly in front of them, then turn to face the audience.
- If a candidate is taller than the hooding faculty, please bend at the knees so they can place it over your head.
- The faculty members will correctly place and arrange the hood and tap the candidate on the shoulder when it is time to continue their walk across the stage.
- Candidates will receive a reminder of this information when you arrive at 6 p.m. to check in and line up for the ceremony.
